Rain riding changes the speed decision from pursuing efficiency to preserving control. With wet pavement, changing visibility, surface contamination, braking and cornering demands, there is no calibrated rule for a fixed speed reduction or stopping distance. This article compares maintaining dry-road pace with reducing pace under the same conditions, then offers a four-dimensional framework built around visibility, contamination, braking and cornering demands, and handling feedback. The bounded recommendation is to reduce pace progressively when the priority is retaining observable room to adjust.
